Terms of Service
Last updated: November 7, 2026. Version 2026-11-07.
These terms are the agreement between you and Friend Feed ("we", "us"), reachable at support@friendfeedwow.com, for the use of the Friend Feed service: the in-game addon, the desktop app, this website and the online sync service (together, "Friend Feed" or "the service"). By installing the addon, using the app or this website, signing in, or paying for the unlock, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Friend Feed.
The short version
- The addon is free and always will be (the Free Tier). The Offline & Social Tier is a one-time unlock, currently $5.
- No refunds, except where the law gives you one we can't take away.
- We may change the price, or how and what we charge for, at any time.
- Friend Feed is a small fan project we're giving a go. We may change, pause or shut it down at any time, and the unlock ends with it. That isn't a reason for a refund.
- Blizzard makes the game and sets the rules. If Blizzard blocks Friend Feed, changes the game so it stops working, or takes action on your account, that's between you and Blizzard: we aren't responsible, and there's no refund.
- Friend Feed is provided as is. We aren't liable for lost data, lost game time, account problems or anything else beyond what you actually paid us, which is at most US $10.
- Be fair: don't abuse the service or other players.
The short version is a summary. If it ever disagrees with the full terms below, the full terms win.
1. What Friend Feed is
- The addon runs inside World of Warcraft: Forever and shows milestones (loot, levels, achievements, mounts, pets, toys, deaths) from friends who are online at the same time as you. It is free and works on its own.
- The app is an optional desktop program that uploads your own milestones after you log out and writes your friends' milestones into the addon's folder before you log in.
- The service is this website and the server behind the app. It stores milestones for a short time and passes them between mutual Battle.net friends, and between people and the public profiles they follow.
- The unlock (the Offline & Social Tier) is a one-time payment that lets one Battle.net account receivefriends' offline history through the app, follow other players and have a public profile. Everyone with the app shares; only unlocked accounts receive.
2. Not affiliated with Blizzard
Friend Feed is a fan project. It is not made by, affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. World of Warcraft, Battle.net and related names are Blizzard's trademarks. Your use of the game and Battle.net is governed by Blizzard's own agreements, which you must follow. See section 7 for what that means for Friend Feed.
3. Who can use Friend Feed
- You need your own Battle.net account, and you must be old enough to have one where you live.
- To pay for the unlock you must be old enough to make a binding purchase where you live, or have a parent or guardian do it for you and agree to these terms on your behalf.
- You can't use Friend Feed if Blizzard has banned you from the game or if we have closed your account.
4. Your account and connected apps
- You sign in on Battle.net's own page. We never see your Battle.net password. Keep your computer and your Battle.net login secure; what happens through your account is your responsibility.
- Connecting the app shows a short code. Only approve a code you started yourself. Anyone whose app you approve can upload and download as you until you sign that app out. We aren't responsible for codes you approve for other people.
- You can sign out connected apps or delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting your account removes everything we hold about you and ends any unlock, with no refund.
- The unlock belongs to the Battle.net account that bought it and can't be moved or shared.
5. Pricing, payment and refunds
- The unlock currently costs $5 in US dollars, tax included, paid once. Today it is not a subscription and nothing renews.
- $5 is a launch price. We plan to raise the price to $10 after launch. If you buy at the launch price, your unlock stays as it is and you never pay the difference.
- We may change our pricing at any time. That includes changing the price of the unlock, what the unlock includes, charging for things that are free today, adding new paid features or tiers, or moving to a different model such as a subscription. We'll post the new pricing on this website before it applies. A price change doesn't charge you anything you didn't agree to: nothing is ever taken from you without a new purchase that you make yourself.
- An unlock you have already paid for keeps the access it bought (receiving friends' offline history) for as long as we run that part of the service. If we change how the service is packaged in a way that affects existing unlocks, we'll give at least 30 days' notice on this website. Section 6 still applies: the service as a whole may change or end at any time.
- Payments are handled by Stripe as the seller of record (Stripe Managed Payments). Stripe processes the payment, works out and collects any sales tax or VAT (included in the price), and sends your receipt. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment. The charge shows on your statement as coming from Link (Stripe's checkout), and the receipt comes from Link too.
- Because Stripe is the seller, Stripe also deals with payment disputes and may handle a refund request under its own policies. If Stripe refunds a payment, that is Stripe's decision, not a change to what these terms say about refunds.
- The unlock starts the moment your payment goes through. By ticking the box at checkout and paying, you ask us to start the service straight away and you acknowledge that, once it has started, you lose any right you might otherwise have had to cancel the purchase within a cooling-off period (for example the 14-day withdrawal right for consumers in the EU and UK).
- No refunds. We don't give refunds for any reason, including if you stop playing, your friends don't use the app, Friend Feed stops working with a game update, Blizzard blocks it, the price later goes down, or we shut the service down. The one exception is a refund that the law where you live gives you and that we can't exclude (see section 14); in that case please email support@friendfeedwow.com and we'll sort it out.
- We may still choose to refund a payment as a goodwill gesture, for example after an accidental double purchase. That is entirely at our discretion, decided case by case, and a refund given once doesn't create a right to one later or for anyone else.
- If a payment is refunded, reversed or disputed with your bank, the unlock is removed. If you dispute a payment instead of contacting us, we may also close your account.
- Prices on this website are in US dollars unless shown otherwise. Your bank may charge a conversion fee.
6. We can change or stop the service at any time
Friend Feed is a small project run in our spare time, and we are trying it out. We don't promise that it will keep running for any length of time after you pay. In particular:
- We may change, limit, pause, suspend or permanently shut down the service, the app or the addon, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice.
- We may stop supporting a version of the game, an operating system, or a feature (such as following or public profiles) at any time, and we may change our pricing as described in section 5.
- If we shut the service down, the unlock ends with it. We'll try to say so on this website beforehand when we can, but we don't promise notice, and no refund is owed because the service has ended, changed or been unavailable.
- The unlock buys access to the service as it exists while it exists. It doesn't buy any particular feature, uptime, response time or future development.
7. Blizzard, addons and your game account
- Blizzard decides what addons and third-party programs are allowed with its games, and it can change that at any time. Blizzard could block or break the addon or the app with a game update, refuse to let it be distributed, revoke the Battle.net sign-in we rely on, ask us to stop, or take action against players who use it.
- You use Friend Feed at your own risk. It is your responsibility to decide whether using it complies with Blizzard's agreements and policies, which you agreed to when you got the game.
- We are not responsible for any action Blizzard takes on your Battle.net or game account, including warnings, suspensions, bans, lost characters, lost items or lost game time, whether or not it has anything to do with Friend Feed.
- If Blizzard blocks, bans, breaks or shuts down Friend Feed, or we stop it because of anything Blizzard does or asks, no refund is owed.
- The addon uses the ordinary addon interface the game provides to every addon. The app reads the addon's saved settings file after you log out, writes one file in the addon's folder, and can install and update the addon itself in its own folder. It does not modify the game, run while interacting with the game client, or automate anything in the game.
8. Fair use
You agree not to:
- try to get data about people who aren't your mutual friends or who haven't chosen a public profile;
- get around the unlock, the rate limits, or any other restriction;
- send fake milestones, flood the service, probe or attack it, or use automated tools against it;
- use Friend Feed to harass, stalk or track anyone, or in a way that breaks Blizzard's rules or any law;
- copy, sell, rent or resell the service or the unlock, or run your own service on top of ours;
- pretend to be us, or to be someone else, on a public profile.
We may suspend or close accounts that do any of this, without notice and without a refund.
9. Public profiles and what you share
- Your milestones are shared with your mutual Battle.net friends who use the app, and, if you turn on a public profile, with anyone who follows you. You can stop this at any time by turning the profile off, signing out the app, or deleting your account.
- A public profile is yours to set up or not. If you do, you choose a handle and may add a link to your Twitch, YouTube or Kick channel. You're responsible for what you put there. Don't use a handle or link that pretends to be someone else, infringes anyone's rights, or is offensive. We may remove, rename or hide handles and links at our discretion.
- You give us permission to store your milestones, handle and link and show them to the people described above, which is the whole point of the service. We don't claim ownership of them and we don't sell them.
- Milestones, handles and other data come from other players and from the game, and we don't check them. We aren't responsible for what other players share.
10. Privacy
Our privacy notice explains what we store, why, where, for how long, and how to download or delete it. By using the service you agree to that handling of your data.
11. Ownership and licence
- We own Friend Feed: the addon, the app, this website, the service and the Friend Feed name and logo, except for Blizzard's trademarks and other people's content.
- You may install and use the addon and the app, free of charge, for your own personal, non-commercial play. You may share the addon with friends as we distribute it, unchanged. You may not sell it, charge for it, remove our notices, or pass it off as your own.
- Nothing in Friend Feed is designed to interfere with the game. If Blizzard ever requires changes to the addon to comply with its policies, we may make them or withdraw the addon.
12. Other people's services
Friend Feed depends on services we don't control: Blizzard's game and Battle.net sign-in, Stripe for payments, and Google Cloud and Supabase for hosting. Each has its own terms, and any of them could change, fail or cut us off at any time. We aren't responsible for them, and their failure doesn't entitle you to a refund. Links to streaming channels on public profiles are put there by other players and lead to sites we don't control.
13. No guarantees
Friend Feed is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement. We don't promise that it will work with every version of the game, that it will be available or error-free, that milestones will be recorded or delivered completely or on time, that data won't be lost, or that it will keep working after a game update. Game updates, Battle.net changes, outages and our own mistakes may stop it working at any time. Where the law doesn't allow a warranty to be excluded, it lasts for the shortest period the law allows.
14. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost data, lost game progress, items, characters or game time, lost profits, or the cost of substitutes, however they arise, even if we were told they were possible.
- We are not liable for anything that happens to your Battle.net or game account, for anything Blizzard or any other third party does, for other players' conduct or content, or for the service being changed, unavailable or shut down.
- Our total liability to you for everything arising out of Friend Feed or these terms, under any legal theory, is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the unlock in the twelve months before the claim, which can never be more than US $10. If you haven't paid us anything, we have no liability to you at all.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. If you live somewhere that doesn't allow some of these limits, they apply to you only as far as that law allows.
If you are in Australia: our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract. Nothing in these terms limits those rights; the limits above apply only to the extent the Australian Consumer Law allows.
15. Your responsibility to us
If someone brings a claim against us because of something you did with Friend Feed, because you broke these terms or Blizzard's rules, or because of a handle, link or other content you put on a public profile, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
16. Suspending or closing accounts
- You can stop using Friend Feed at any time, and delete your account and data from your account page.
- We may suspend or close your account, remove your public profile, or block the app or addon from the service at any time if we believe you have broken these terms, to protect the service or other players, if Blizzard or the law requires it, or when we end the service. We'll usually tell you why if you ask.
- Closing an account for any reason ends the unlock, without a refund.
- Sections 5 and 11 to 19 keep applying after your account is closed or the service ends.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, including the pricing section, at any time. When we do, we'll change the date and version at the top of this page, and for changes that matter we'll say so on this website or in the app. If you keep using Friend Feed after a change, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, stop using the service and delete your account; a change to the terms isn't a reason for a refund.
18. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the law of the place from which we operate Friend Feed, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts there, except that if you're a consumer you keep any right to bring a claim where you live and to rely on the mandatory consumer protection laws of your own country.
- Please talk to us first. Email support@friendfeedwow.com and we'll do our best to resolve the problem informally within 30 days before either of us starts formal proceedings.
19. General terms
- These terms, with the privacy notice, are the whole agreement between you and us about Friend Feed.
- If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies, and that part is replaced by the closest enforceable version.
- If we don't enforce a part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
- You can't transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them to someone who takes over the service, and we'll say so on this website if we do.
- Blizzard is not a party to these terms, but may rely on sections 2, 7 and 11 if it needs to.
- These terms are written in English, and the English version is the one that counts.
